Support Empow’Her project which enables women to get a life free from violence by helping them turn into entrepreneurs

Empow’Her is a French NGO aiming at empowering women in the world by developing training and capacity building programs: considering entrepreneurship as a strong vehicle for women’s empowerment, Empow’Her focuses on developing women’s entrepreneurial skills and on providing them with the knowledge, tools and capacities required to drive change on their own and break down the barriers.

One of Empow’Her latest project takes place in Thailand and offers vulnerable women a chance to become socially and economically independent and get a life free from violence. With their local partner APSW (Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women) they train women survivors of violence to create and develop a handicraft social business that will provide them with the means to regain self-confidence and improve their status. By attending artisanal training and creating valuable handicrafts, women can recover from the traumas they have experienced while acquiring crucial professional skills and earning a sustainable income.

Empow’Her and APSW just launched their crowdfunding campaign to finance the project on Women’s WorldWide Web platform (all donations to the project are tax deductible).
