22.8 percent of large corporations’ management women (Turkey)

Women managers constitute 22.8 percent of the total top-level administrative staff of Turkey’s large private sector corporations, a recent survey by the Turkish Confederation of Employers Unions (TİSK) has shown.

In terms of administrative staff, however, the share of female recruits rose to 22.8 percent, with 163 female managers among a total number of 714.

Among 65 chairpersons, 9 were female and 11 of the 52 deputy chairpersons were women. Of the 239 board members in these 111 companies, 54 were female. The number of the general managers, general coordinators and CEOs was 122, with 34 of them women.
